Montaione is situated in the heart of Tuscany (province of Florence) in Val d´Elsa.

It´s a small town in top of a hill (350 met.) with 3.700 inhabitants, distant 50 kilometers from the most important cities of Art: Firenze, Siena and Pisa. San Gimignano and Volterra can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Its territory is characterized by pleasant hills, dotted with vineyards and olive-trees.

Montaione, is a town of ancient origins, which has its background of Art, history, culture and traditions; this is proved by numerous archaeological finds from its surroundings; it is now possible to admire them, together with an enchanting landscape, which is typical of Tuscany, studded with ancient villages, farms and rural homesteads. Many are now converted to vacation use and Agroturism. During the season it is difficult to find a reservation!
